My almost 4 month old baby loved this. Sometimes he can take the 3 size but this one is the most comfortable with.

Very good nipples. I’ve used Avent bottles with both of my boys now. They both liked them best! And I’m very relieved that they’re BPA free. Can’t beat the deal for them here on amazon. I will never buy them anywhere else again.

Worked fine at first but after about a month caused the bottle to leak. Switching to the medium flow stopped the leak, but we suspect the same will happen. We have one Born Free bottle and it hasn’t ever leaked.

You only get to use this and the variable flow one, they are really nice till the baby is 4 months or so..

I love all the avent products so far but in the future I think I would just order the newborn nipples and then the variable flow nipples. My son used the newborn initially but by the time he was a month or two old, the slow flow nipples were already too slow for him. Each baby is different so some of this is trial and error, but the variable flow gives you several options in one.

These nipples definitely let the air out of the bottle (vs into my baby) – I can hear it escaping. And he’s less likely to suck the nipples flat like he’s now doing with other brands (Medela & Dr Brown’s). However, sometimes when I put the bottle together it leaks. (I never had this problem with the Medela bottles.) So pros and cons, but overall very good.

Our baby is over 6 months and we still use these nipples. When I’m not at work she is breast fed. This slow flow nipple helps her work at getting the milk similar to when she’s nursing.

I was using the born free bottles with their level 1 nipple. My son has acid reflux and we noticed that sometimes he was almost choking on the milk as it was coming out of the bottle. When I returned to work, my mom thought the milk was coming out too fast when she was feeding him and that was why he was fussy on it, so I bought two of these and tried them the next day– HUGE difference, no fussiness. When I compared the streams of the two nipples, the avent is MUCH slower which is great for breastfed babies because they suck a lot harder. Also, he can take a rest and make the flow completely STOP like he can when he is breastfeeding. Also, the top of the nipple is more flat like an actual breast. These nipples fit perfectly on the born free bottles (I like that they are glass). My son and I are very happy campers.

These nipples made the transition from breast to bottle very easy for my newborn son. We first tried bottles with him when he was about 4 weeks old and still unable to handle a fast flow. He didn’t have any trouble figuring out the new nipples and while we made sure to burp him often during the feeding, didn’t have a lot of gas either. The only thing I would mention is that he didn’t stay on this nipple very long as he was ready within another month for a faster flow. Also, the Avent bottles that I ordered (4 oz) all came with these nipples so I really didn’t need extras. I’ve changed to the variable flow nipples for him now.

I ordered these nipples because they are the next step up from the one hole newborn nipples. I waited until my baby was 5 weeks old to use these because I thought the flow might be too much for her. She didn’t have any problem with them as they are still slow. They probably speed up feeding time by 5 or 10 minutes. The baby has had no problem with Avent bottles and nipples. Sometimes they leak so you have to check them before you give them to baby. The remedy is simple…just unscrew the nipple holder and screw it back in and make sure it is tight. I would definitely recommend avent nipples and bottles. These nipples probably aren’t a necessity, but they do get the baby used to a quicker flow.

We have been using Avent products for both of our children without problems. They are great products. I wish they had BPA-Free products earlier. I bought this two fast flow nipples because the store near us does not have BPA-Free ones. However, when I received them from mail, I did not find anywhere on the package says BPA-Free. I thought there should be somewhere says BPA-Free. Usually the BPA-Free products has a little bit yellow color than the regular ones. But the ones I received look the same as the regular ones that are not BPA-Free. So I am not sure if the products I received are the real BPA-Free nipples.

My son does well with the Avent products. The flow is fast enough for him (before this we tried another nipple…can’t remember the name…but it was the fast flow, but just not fast enough). We use this with the Avent bottles that have the extra little attachment that connects with the nipple to prevent leaks. So far, so good!

I went to order this product from amazon over my local store and I find that the price is not nearly attractive enough to justify. I would rather drive to the store and purchase what I need for much much less.
I’ve had this product before and it’s a great product. Never had a problem.

I only use Avent bottles and nipples, so I don’t have anything to compare them to. But I like them alot and won’t use anything else. Cheaper on Amazon, and sometimes you won’t find the nipple flow you need in stores.

Avent Products USED TO be quality. Back in 2000 the nipples had no vent and worked great. A year ago we decided to use the AVENT bottle system again with our new baby. That was a big mistake. We read the instructions, tried every trick posted on Internet. No matter what, we always ended up SOAKED. Imagine the situation – leaking bottle, SCREAMING hungry baby. After two weeks of this we complained to AVENT. Apparently talking to the Customer Rep they were aware of the issue, suggested their workarounds with me on phone which I made an effort to try to follow their instructions exactly. But they did not work. They then suggested their TEMPO disposable system sending us several bottles and around 400 liners. The TEMPO had a ‘clamshell’ that basically sealed the nipple in the ring. It worked GREAT with no problems ever since. At that time the rep assured me AVENT was working on a FIX and I think I know what their FIX was – to DISCONTINUE the TEMPO Disposable. As a registered user they sent no email or warning, I show up at store and find NO TEMPO liners. We had planned on a systematic transition off bottle to sippy cup but now we have no choice but to go COLD TURKEY with less than 6 liners left and nowhere to buy them. Our 1 yr old is too used to the AVENT nipple to invest in another system. Even with leaks he won’t try the AVENT Bottle.

Everything Avents makes is perfection. They are well made and sturdy. I have never had any problems with any of their products.
