4-month olds loved it – now (at 5 mos) have moved to looser sleeping sacks.

Product was as described. I found that it did bunch up and move around when my son moved in his sleep.

I have had several friends who suggested the Summer swaddler to me. On the first night home from the hospital, I thought I would try it out. The blanket was a bit too big for my 7 pounder, and he wiggled right out. I was disappointed, and started using a blanket to swaddle. At about one month, he was kicking the bottom of my swaddle off in the middle of the night, and his feet would be freezing when I got him. I figured I would try the swaddleme again, and this time around it worked great. I only have one small, and the velcro on mine is getting tired, but other than that I have to complaints. The first time I put him in it, he slept 8 hours thru the night… can’t complain about that!! If at first your baby doesn’t like it, you may just have to wait a couple of weeks and try again.

This swaddler is a great option for a baby who wants to be swaddled, but it has not stood up to our newborn’s testing. She is able to wiggle her left arm loose (the side opposite the velcro)and from there undo the right arm and unswaddle herself. When we put the swaddle on loosely, this process takes under a minute. When used correctly (at its tightest), her escape takes about 5-7 minutes. We were disappointed, because the product is so highly reviewed by other users. We’ve had much more success with tightly pulled cotton muslin–it requires more skill and practice, but its worth it.

The product was here on time. As to how it will feel on the baby, he is not born yet. I am sure it will be a wonderful gift for my niece and him. Thanks

As a first time parent, I had no idea about swaddling and the amazing benefits it brings. My oldest sister suggested it to me after she tried it on #4 daughter. At the time I started swaddling my daughter at 3 weeks, I saw an immediate difference. She slept longer and more soundly. Even during the winters, I would put her in a onesie to not overheat her and run the fan on low to create air movement. If you love sleep, you cannot do without this. Two small complaints: 1. I wish the straps went around the body like the snug & tug ([...]). When my daughter reache 3 to 4 months, becoming stronger in the arms, she would break out easier. 2. The swaddles do run small. I loved the snug & tug brand because they run big. My daughter grew out of the large kiddopotamus swaddle at 5-6 months. The snug & tug brand ran bigger and thus got used longer. My daughter is a extraordinary case due to the fact she loved it beyond six months. This is one of those items you can’t do without, even if it has some flaws. They are worth it to get some sleep!

This swaddle is so fantastic!! It’s the only swaddle that ever worked for both of my kids. Nice soft material, and they don’t siggle out of it. We love these!

We received this as a gift for our baby. At first we were excited to have a swaddle that was easier than the blankets. It was nice to be able to just slip her in and it was nice to be able to change her diaper without unswaddling her. The problem is we had the jersey fabric and it stretched out after a week and didn’t hold her tight anymore. Dissapointing.
