I bought this for my 2 week old daughter whom is now 6 weeks. It cradles her whole body and cause her to sit in such a position she could suffocate, because it supports her body not head. I will try it with my 7 yr old in his Recaro Pro-sport after reading the reviw of the 2 yr old never thought about it but seems like it would work better with older children.

This product was okay, meaning that it did the job of providing a cushion and support for the neck but if your child is older than 10 or 11 months it may be difficult adjusting it.

I bought this item prior to a 10 hr road trip with my family. We drove overnight, so I thought that
this cradler would be great for my 2-year old daughter–so she would be able to sleep comfortably in her carseat. Well, she hated it. The minute I put them on her carseat she wanted them off…so, I guess it’s not really a fair assessment, but I don’t recommend it for toddlers. This product would probably work best with infants less than 12 months of age.

My wife and I really like the Swaddlepod. She purchased 3 types at the same time (not sure why). This product provides some movement for the baby’s arms which makes me feel better. It still reduces the startle reflex, which is the point. He always got his arms out of the other products but not this one…yet. I am an OB/GYN physician by the way and don’t like the significant lack of mobility the other products on the market offer. Perhaps I’m just being too sensitive. Good luck!

If you aren’t sure whether to get this, you can’t go wrong at this price!! We absolutely love this and have been using it since our baby was in the hospital! All of the nurses thought it was fabulous and loved that the baby didn’t even wake up when they opened it from the bottom to hassle her! Such a better way to swaddle! A closure at the top would make it better, which the Woombie has, but the velcro it uses could possibly scratch a chin. A snap would be better, which you could do yourself on the Woombie. The Organic Woombie Baby Cocoon Swaddle (Newborn (5-13 lbs), Buttercup) We use this more than the Woombie, so if you just want to get one, I would go with this first because of the price. Definitely get one (or give one), though, as it could prove to be priceless! I can easily recommend it and would use it as soon as the baby is put in that little bassinet at the hospital! Would be a great shower gift.

I have several different types of Swaddlers (Swaddle Me, Halo Sleep Sack Swaddle, Miracle Blanket, and just basic receiving blankets that I wrap). When I saw this Swaddlepod, I thought it would be a perfect alternative, and easier to snuggle up my little one. However, even when she is dead asleep, when I put her int his and start to zip it up, it seems the compression wakes her. That’s a problem I don’t have with any of the other swaddle options. She has also managed to wiggle her arms up and almost out of this one. I love the concept, but the Swaddle Me or Halo SleepSack Swaddle work better for me.

We love the Swaddlepod. Our daughter is constantly flailing her arms while sleeping, which wakes her up. This keeps her contentedly contained and doesn’t let her wiggle her arms or hands out like other swaddlers do. The double zipper is great for diaper changes. We have another “name brand” product that is similar, but you have to start the zipper every time, which can be challenging with a wiggly baby. The Swaddlepod is great and zips right up without hassle everytime. I just wish they had the next size up! Our baby is big, and she is already starting to outgrow hers at 2 months old. I would totally buy one that was just a tad larger to last her a few more months. It has been the ticket to sleepful nights 🙂

My 5 week old wiggle worm is constantly waking himself up with his hands. I have been swaddling him, but he always breaks free. I decided to try these and they have been wonderful. He manages to move his arms from his sides and gets his hands up on his chest – but that is not enough to wake him up. He sleeps so snug and cozy in this thing. I absolutely love it. For the great price it is worth a try. So far all the Summer products have been worth every penny.
